4 Basic Types of Beer

As a true beer-enthusiast, you must already be familiar with the basic types of beer there are in the world. However, for all of you newbies out there, here is a list of the most common types of beer to give you an idea of which to try making.

Light beer

The main difference between light and heavy beers comes down to the kind of yeast used to make it. Light beer can usually qualify as amber or pale beer, depending on the particular fermenting method used. Amber and pale beers are generally made through bottom fermentation, where yeast settles at the bottom of the bottle and ferments at cooler temperatures. During this process, the beer undergoes maturation, where the yeast converts everything to sugar. This means that the alcohol level is low and the flavor is mild or balanced.

Light beers contain very little yeast, making them very mild. Some of the popular examples of light beers include Budweiser, Pilsner Urtyp, and Saaz. These kinds of beers have got different flavors due to the fact that they go through different stages during the fermentation process. One of the main characteristics of what is considered light beers is that they have very little carbonation, which is also called clear alcohol. You can taste this alcohol when you take a sip of your drink.

Light beer contains a lot of yeast but does not have that overwhelming bitter or smoky aroma that one gets from a rich brew with high levels of yeast. One of the main characteristics of what is known as American brews is that they lack that aroma. Some examples of this are Harpoon Pale Ale and Millstone Pale Ale. The reason behind this is that these types of beers contain too many hops for their own good.

A lager is a type of beer where the fermentation is slow, so the yeast is allowed to ferment for a longer period of time. At this point in the fermentation process, lagers have higher alcohol content than other types of brew. However, the aroma and flavor do not get lost along the way because these are preserved in the beer. The reason for this is that these lagers contain a medium amount of yeast, which is also what helps them maintain their shape and structure.

One of the most popular examples of these kinds of drinks is the English drink of ale, which is derived from the brewing of traditional wheat-based beers. There are three main types of sour beers, which include British ale, Irish stout, and Scottish pint. Although these are derived from the same basic beer-making process, each of them exhibits its own unique features. Some examples of these include Cantaloupe Wheat Ale, English mild ale, and Portuguese ale.

A top-fermenting yeast is a type of this that contains a high amount of wild yeast. It is often used in conjunction with bottom fermentation in order to produce a top-fermenting beer that still has low gravity. This type of beer is often mixed with lagers, which are low in gravity. Examples of top-fermenting yeasts include German pilsner and Fuggle. There are also some bottlings that contain this type of yeast, such as Wheat Ale.

Bitterness is the bitter taste that is sometimes reported in these types of beers, which is due to the high concentration of yeast in them. Examples of these include Wheat Ale, which has a bit of a bitter taste on its own. Other examples include Irish stout, which exhibits a bit of smoky taste due to the presence of roasted barley. Other characteristics include the color of the head, which is usually brown or straw-colored. The taste is also quite bitter, although not as bitter as other styles of this kind of beer.

Hops are the main ingredient in one-cup beer kits, as well as many other types of home brewing beer kits. They are very high in alpha-aromatic compounds, which impart a citrusy, lemony taste to the final product. Examples of hop beers include India Pale Ale, which has a fruity, earthy hop taste. Other examples include German pilsner, which has more of an herbal taste, while British ale, thanks to its prominent hop aroma and taste, has become popular worldwide. You can try different beers and see for yourself the differences they make.

We hope that we made it a bit easier for you to choose which beer to start brewing. But, whichever you choose, you won’t make a mistake. They are all delicious!
